Big Girl Small

Characters are the base of a story; They soak up all of the spot-light as if they were a sponge in a puddle after it had rained. Judy Lohen develops as a young adult throughout Big Girl Small. Going through life's obstacles can make things hard to know what to do next. I guess that's why we learn so many lessons; Honestly who ever learned anything from being perfect? That's why Judy's life completely turned around when Kyle took away all of her dignity...forcing her to make terrifying, but later helpful decisions that impacted her whole life. Trusting someone too soon can often lead to betrayal, it
washes in someones sorrow, a life full of mistakes and makes you breathe in the regret. Judy thought that Kyle loved her and sometimes you just need to look at the reality of things even though they may be hiding in the corner where you can't see them. Try your hardest to make the right decision. Don't listen to that little devil in the back of your head that's telling you it's okay because you know it isn't and you life will become locked up, a horrible realization and uncertainty will come around your thoughts and embed themselves deep into your brain so that you never forget.

  1. This seems like a really interesting book! From your blog, it sounds like there are a lot of life lessons learned by the main character, Judy Lohen, as she develops through the story. I liked how in your blog you wrote some of the main themes of the book. It helped me understand what the main point of the book is and predict what happens. I want to read this book now because of your description of the themes expressed in this novel.

  2. Oh, that sounds interesting! I always like it when the themes of books seem to give morals or lessons. I also like how the character isn't portrayed as perfect, because people aren't perfect, either.
