Reasoning for Writing-The Fault in Our Stars
I just finished The Fault in Our Stars. This was a great book. In my opinion the author's reasoning for writing this book is to live every moment like it's your last, also to never underestimate the possibilities of what could happen. This story opened my eyes to realize that anything could happen. Hazel Grace was a girl with a terminal toomer and her boyfriend Gus was in remission. Gus always thought that he would be okay for the rest of his normal life (with the acception of a prosthetic leg). That was until he was later diagnosed with cancer that was all over his body and his cancer became more serious and uncurable than Hazel. So, remember never to underestimate yourself because what you think may never happen always could come up and bite you in the long run.

Cancer Perks
By: Annie Backs
Hazel Grace was an average 13 year old until she was diagnosed with a terminal lung tumor. Although it is terminal she has managed to live 3 years with this thing slowly killing her. Hazel was taken out of school and called herself a homebody, reading books all day, going to the hospital when sick, and going to support group with other cancer survivors and fighters. One day her friend Isaac brought a friend named Augustus Waters... Gus was everything that Hazel could ever imagine and he was staring her way... Hazel went over to watch a movie at his house and after that they began going out continuously. Gus was a cancer survivor as well he had a tumor in his leg and it had been amputated. The couple were connected by a book and they dreamed of meeting the author. When diagnosed with cancer, patients are awarded with a wish; they can use this wish to travel anywhere they would like to go. Gus hadn't used his wish yet so he decided to take Hazel to Amsterdam where the author lived. Only to find out that the author didn't officially agree to tell them about the rest of the book. But, in the end they realized it didn't matter the book had brought them together and they were happy.
The Fault In Our Stars- By: John Green was a great book! I recommend it to anyone, it's one of those books that anyone could enjoy and learn from.

Big Girl Small- Letter to Author
Dear Ms. Rachel DeWoskin,
Your book Big Girl Small was a great read. Judy is such a strong character who uses her sarcasm to keep her strong. She really inspired me though to never give up although for a while she did run away; she still went back home and faced her fears until everything was all better. That made me realize no matter what happens if you work things out everything will always turn out okay and you just have to forgive, forget, and move on. Life is too short not to.I really enjoyed how the book starts from the end and leads further and further to how she got to where she was for most of the book. Although it was very interesting the way that book was set up, I was easily confused at the beginning before I understood how this type of writing worked. Other than that one disadvantage, Big Girl Small was an excellent read and I would definitely recommend it to others!
Sincerely,
Annie Backs

Big Girl Small
washes in someones sorrow, a life full of mistakes and makes you breathe in the regret. Judy thought that Kyle loved her and sometimes you just need to look at the reality of things even though they may be hiding in the corner where you can't see them. Try your hardest to make the right decision. Don't listen to that little devil in the back of your head that's telling you it's okay because you know it isn't and you life will become locked up, a horrible realization and uncertainty will come around your thoughts and embed themselves deep into your brain so that you never forget.
